The entire route of the VALTIBERINA TRAIL will be marked (for updates see here) with small aluminum plates characterized by two colors:
yellow, which is the international color of the path;
green, which is the color of our valley.
The green footprint of a shoe that crosses – without stepping on – the Val Tiberina, wants to underline the way in which this path was conceived and realized: a path at the service of this valley, of those who live there and all those who – like you – they will set out to visit it.
TWO TYPES OF SIGNALS
The plates are of two types:
a generic one, with the VTT logo, which has the function of confirming the direction of travel;
a directional one, with the VTT logo flanked – on the right or on the left – by a red arrow, signifying a change in the direction of travel.
THE CRITERIA OF THE SIGNS
You walk by looking around and not going from one signal to another.
This means that the signs, apart from the occasional one confirming the itinerary followed, are placed only where necessary: at the main intersections and in changes of direction.
Therefore, there is no signal:
in the event that the VTT intersects secondary roads / tracks / paths with respect to it;
in the historic centers of the cities and villages crossed by the VTT, both for reasons of urban decor, but above all to leave you the freedom and pleasure of discovering one or the other village in your own way.
THE INTERACTIVE MAP
But don’t panic! 🙂
The interactive map of the VALTIBERINA TRAIL will follow you step by step to help you understand the territory you are crossing, highlighting both the most important places to visit and those structures / services / shops that will be happy to help you along the way.
Anyone can freely consult it and it will be available to all, without limitations or impediments (except that of the signal! :-)).
